Partner Anne McKenna to Discuss Online Speech & Social Media in the University on Jan. 20th at Johns Hopkins University

Silverman Thompson Partner and Adjunct Professor of Law at Penn State Law, Anne T. McKenna, will address college and university deans of student of affairs, deans of conduct, and other faculty and administrators to discuss student online speech (both off campus and on) and how universities must walk the line between the First Amendment and university codes of conduct, technology acceptable use policies, and legal liability.

Anne McKenna chairs Silverman Thompson’s Cyber Law Group, SilverMcKenna. She is a distinguished attorney, author of multiple legal treatises, and lecturer with over two decades of litigation experience representing businesses, individuals, and educational clients in every aspect of electronic surveillance, Internet, computer, cellular, online content, data practices, and privacy issues.

Her talk, "Online Speech & Social Media in the University—Walking the Line of Technology, Law, and Liability", is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in The Hutzler Reading Room, 3101 Wyman Park Drive.
