Attorney Steven Kelly Speaks at the 2015 Crime Victim Law Conference

Silverman Thompson attorney, Steven Kelly, presents at the 14th Annual Crime Victim Law Conference hosted by the National Crime Victims Law Institute (NCVLI) at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. The conference centers on enhancing victims’ rights in criminal cases through effective legal advocacy.

Steven Kelly’s presentation, “Representing Child-Victims: Military and Civilian Perspectives,” focuses on how private lawyers can help enforce the rights of child-victims of crime in criminal and civil cases. Mr. Kelly draws from his own experience, and discusses several notable cases where he represented child-victims at Silverman Thompson.

Steven Kelly has been involved in the victims’ right movement for decades and is devoted to ensuring that crime victims and their families are afforded all their basic rights in the criminal process. He has achieved significant verdicts and settlements on behalf of crime victims in civil suits against criminal offenders and third parties. Mr. Kelly is one of a handful of lawyers across the country with experience in the interplay between crime victims' rights in civil and criminal proceedings.
