Firm Settles Medical Malpractice Case for $3.5 Million

The firm has recently settled a significant medical malpractice case against a doctor for $3.5 million. During a neurosurgery procedure in which a spinal cord stimulator was replaced, the defendant doctor negligently damaged our client’s spinal cord at the T7-8 level. Our client was left permanently paralyzed. Another medical malpractice firm originally investigated the case but was unable to establish negligence. Once engaged, Silverman Thompson attorneys Andrew G. Slutkin and Jamison G. White were able to establish liability and achieve this significant settlement on the eve of trial. The recovery will be utilized to provide necessary medical and living assistance for our client.
